As the Research Project Coordinator at Semmes Murphey Foundation, Ms. Brewer is responsible for managing the overall facilitation of the National Neurosurgical Quality and Outcomes Database (N2QOD) and managing non-supervisory employees for the Foundation. Prior to joining Semmes Murphey Foundation Darlene Brewer worked 4 plus years as the Executive Research Assistant at the Medical Education and Research Institute (MERI) in Memphis, TN. She is committed to supporting the Memphis Community and continues learning through her participation as a Member Society for Human Resource Management, Certified with Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Member Tennessee Health Care Executive Assistant, Member the Alpha Eta Honor Society of Allied Health, Serves on the Health Care Management Advisory Committee for Baptist College of Health Sciences, and is a member of the Memphis Le Bonheur Club, Inc. Ms. Brewer is originally from St. Louis, MO., moved to the Memphis area in 1986 and has lived in the Memphis area and Oakland, TN for over 25 years. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Science from Southwest Tennessee Community College, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, TN.
